National Poetry Writing Month is over… (all together now, everybody sigh)… and while I truly enjoyed the challenge of writing something for everyday and sharing it… good or bad… I wondered… should I keep on beyond the end?
What now? A daily project like NaPoWriMo can be fun and challenging… and possibly a quick path to crazy town… I did like being a part of a bigger project though. I am deeply thankful to the world for letting me play with words, share my photography, my artwork… and for giving me an excuse to throw it out onto the web for all to see. If only one person saw it and enjoyed something about it… that makes my day.
Should there be more? Today, I took a little time to look at past posts and I thought… maybe… it’s time to look in the mirror. I did… and I saw that sometimes, I am too concerned with how my “stuff” looks and how it may be received. Of course I want to be liked…(who doesn’t)… at some level I want people to be impressed, by my beautiful photos or my sometimes brilliant words… (serious tongue in cheek there folks)… … BUT that means I am probably self-editing… taking myself way to seriously. I am in real danger of leaving out some of that wonderful instant nonsense that inspired me to start this blog in the first place.
Soooooo… I have decided to start a new month long project. One that has no chance of being anything more than silly. Just me playing with images and changing them into something that is mine. Here it is…..
“Cicely Bites….” bits of BitStrips that is…
Hopefully, you are familiar with the Facebook app BitStrips. If not… you can look it up… really. So, for the next month I will post one of these silly creations to my blog. If you like them… great! If not… that’s okay too. I may write a bit of my dyslexic mind dribble to go with it… or not.
But, no worries! I’ll still occasionally post some words and images that dive deeper into my slightly disturbed mind… like I have for the past month…! It’s time for something a little different. Change can be fun… and full of nonsense. Enjoy…
