I actually enjoy feeling a bit scattered… It keeps my mind sharp. It allows me to let go of trying to be perfect. (Believe me that the nasty streak of “perfectionism” is deeply engrained in my DNA.)
So, I organize my “scattered”ness… or I try to. I like to do a variety of creative things, partially to make sure I don’t get stuck in rut. Recently, I have been doing month long projects to share here and with my friends out there in “Internet Land”.
In April, I did the #NaPoWriMo project. I wrote a “poem” every day for a month, along with many others.
Right now, for May, I have been doing a BitStrip a day… The BitStrips had to be altered in some way to make them my own. I do hope that they have been enjoyable to someone out there besides just myself.
In the past I’ve done a wide variety of projects, writing, photography, drawing, performance… and bits of odd art here and there.
Now it is close to June… I’m trying to decide what sort of project to do for the next month. I’ve been playing with a few limited, free drawing programs, so I thought maybe a drawing a day (perhaps like the one above)… as I learn to use these programs.
But, I am open to all sorts of ideas… I like to be surprised.
Feel free to comment below with suggestions… I am hoping to do a full year of monthly projects.
Whatever I decide to do, it will be done in my weird little way… cause what else can I do…?
