The first chrysalis has begun to darken. Soon the case will become clear and the wings of the butterfly inside will be visible. It’s night here, by the time you read this in the morning, the butterfly will be pushing it’s way out, and hanging from the empty case as it pumps fluid into its new wings. By noon, there will be a half dozen new Monarch butterflies ready to fly. The first of the 2014 Minnesota season here in my little garden.
I hope it will not be raining…. I want to see them soar into a blue sky!
