My Monarch Garden is going along fine… But sometimes the “doing” in life gets in the way of the “recording” of life. I have continued to collect monarch eggs as I have time and the caterpillars grow and the butterflies emerge and I release them… I have tons of new photos that I haven’t had time to edit. I have data scribbled down on my pad ready to be journaled… yet I haven’t had time to do that.
Well, a number of reasons…
First one, I was recently in a car accident. For something that happens is a split second… the time it sucks up afterwards is immense… Dealing with insurance, car repairs and belatedly doctor appointments. It was not a bad crash… even though I was on the highway at rush hour during rain… the speed was low. My injuries did not become apparent for two and a half weeks. Then the pain in my back and leg started. Don’t worry… this is not a pity party. I’ll be alright. A bit of doctoring and therapy and I’ll be back to normal… hopefully.
Second reason, we just adopted three kittens. Those of you who have been reading my blog for a while know that we lost a very beloved kitty a couple months ago. Her long time companion cat has been missing her dearly… as have we all. We decided to find him a new friend. Though we didn’t plan to adopt THREE! It just worked out that way. They are three siblings kittens and perfectly match to the personalities of my three kids. Picking just one seemed an impossible task. So they all came home. Between preparing the house for three kittens, and doing all the little things that need to be done to make it work, and then spending the last week in the transition of adjustment with the new “children” … I’ve been a bit busy.
Third reason… well, I just have things to do… work, laundry, art, improv, parenting…. more things to do than I have time to write about. In fact… I have to leave now to go to a rehearsal with one of my improv troupes.
I will catch up with you all later!
